Our Story
When BikeBase closed, San Pedro lost its proper bike shop overnight — and a lot of riders were left without a workshop they trusted. So Gab opened Gravitate.
Not a tourist trap, not a faceless chain. Just a place where you can walk in, talk to someone who actually rides at the sharp end, and leave with exactly what you need — same hands, same standards, two minutes down the road.
We're on Av López de Mena, in the heart of San Pedro de Alcántara. We know the roads from Marbella to Ronda, we know the trails above Istán and Ojén, and we genuinely love helping people get the most out of cycling on the Costa del Sol.

Meet Gabriel (“Gab”) — Owner, Head Mechanic, National Champion
Gabriel — Gab to most people — has been a full-time bicycle mechanic for 20+ years. He holds Cytech Levels 1, 2 and 3 and earned his stripes in the UK at Evans Cycles and Cycle Republic, two of the country's biggest cycling retailers — including four years running the suspension department for the Northeast region. He's worked on every major brand: Fox, RockShox, Cane Creek, and just about everything in between.
Locally, Gab spent years as manager at BikeBase in San Pedro — so if you brought your bike there, chances are he's the one who looked after it.
On the bike, he's been the reference for downhill in southern Spain for a decade:
- Champion of Spain, Masters 40
- Champion of Portugal, Masters 40
- National Champion, Masters 30
- 8× Regional Champion, Andalucía Elite
- 4th overall in Spain at professional level
He's also a licensed cycling coach and certified guide, and has trained and supported a string of regional and national champions.
